I am cheerful about writing my first Blog in 2008. Last year was filled with a lot of hard work and many good times. As 2007 came to an end, I could sense that this year was going to be an exciting year. On Saturday, February 2, 2008, I attended the Eric Dickerson Super Bowl Golf Skins Game. L.A. Rams and Hall of Fame Running Back Eric Dickerson is recognized as one of the greatest running backs in NFL history.

In case you are wondering, a Skins Game puts players in a type of match play in which each hole has a set value (usually in money or points). The player who wins the hole is said to win the "Skin," and whatever that Skin is worth. (Ref. www.About.com). The Eric Dickerson Super Bowl Golf Skins Game was held at the beautiful Oak Valley Golf Club in Beaumont, CA. Their staff was extremely helpful and delivered service with a smile. The guest list for this event was very impressive. It was certainly a pleasure meeting Eric Dickerson, Gina and Leo Johnson, David Hill, David Hill Jr., LeRoy Irvin Jr., Darrel Burditt, and many others. I was truly excited about meeting one my favorite actors, Clifton Powell. Clifton was very approachable and greeted everyone with that famous-winning smile. Alright, so you can tell I am devoted fan, smile. Clifton has been featured in many great films including Ray, Woman Thou Art Loosed, The Gospel, and Ice Cube/Cube Vision’s new movie, First Sunday. He is widely known for his role as "Pinky" in the 2002 movie comedy, Friday After Next.

The food was delicious! Mr. Ozabe prepared chicken and shrimp sausages from Money Saver's Meats located in Los Angeles, CA. They have a gourmet line of sausages in mild and hot. The staff at Morongo Casino, Resort & Spa (MCRS) worked diligently to make this event a success. Designer gift bags were distributed by MCRS which included an Eric Dickerson Skins Game T-shirt, a beanie cap, golf balls, and a towel. The celebration continued at MCRS' 360 Ultra Lounge for the Pre-Game Party with Eric Dickerson and friends. MCRS celebrated Big Game Sunday with Eric Dickerson, many VIP guests, and the general public. The game was viewed in MCRS' spacious Ballroom on big screen TVs. A stadium-style buffet was prepared. Many gifts were raffled and given to those in attendance. Thanks to MCRS' organized and friendly staff, this weekend's celebration was a huge success!
