It’s very rare that I will write a reference but rarer still is the sensation of spirit of Avis Pope (www.AvisBusinessServices.com). I’ve always taken the position that there are no coincidences or accidents in life, therefore my path crossing hers comes not without contemplation and sincere considerations. Ms. Pope is one of the first people I met on this site and is undeniably, one of the reasons my presence remains. My father once told me that; "People will come and go all of your life." He didn’t elaborate and left that statement as a stand-alone. He’s a wise gentleman, thus I pondered. I think a part of what he meant was to be careful with who you attach yourself to; absorb what you can and be prudent in whom you choose to deal with. I’ve made many mistakes but this is not one of those. THIS is merely acknowledging that which is before me.

In the Enlightened World, the process is one of acknowledgement and then acceptance. Aggressive in business and passionate in life, I extended an invitation and it was she, who graciously accepted and extended her hospitality to me. Instantaneously, Avis impressed me with a warm and open heart which is the beginning of an intelligent and limitless mind. WHO we are, is what will dictate that in which we do and the manner in which we do it. Fortunately, I’ve had the pleasure of being around people that were "good" to the core and though of myself the qualities are far less; I still have eyes that clearly see. I see all those qualities in Avis and yet, I will never bear witness to her fullness of light. It’s not just been a matter of what she communicates to me but what and how. Avis Pope is a business owner who conducts herself with dignity, warmth, professionalism and grace, which are cornerstones that reach far beyond that of business. This is not how she behaves to attract business; this is who she is and thus there is no alternative.

When you seek out others in business, it’s imperative that you engage only with those of which you feel comfortable and confident in exercising the duties at hand. Otherwise, it is "you" who will obstruct the process and it’s "your" desires that will remain fleeting. Avis Pope is highly intelligent, delightfully diligent and craftily capable of performing the services of which she advertises. These multi-faceted qualities are resounding reminders of why women not only belong as business owners but belong in roles of leadership all throughout every society. She’s led and taught me without knowing it. And she is the embodiment of reasons why I will promote Women in Business with passion and pleasure throughout all the days for the rest of my life. In a forest of trees, do you not take notice of the flower that has blossomed? You don’t pluck it, you savor it and allow its remains for all who pass by to see and enjoy. I could easily expatiate about Avis to no end but brevity is the conscience of substance. And substance is merely the beginning…
